Memory
Incorporation of a recently discovered memory chip into the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Edge has ensured that the phone will be capable of multi-tasking like never before, thus providing more control to users via a slim handset design. While it is natural for rumors to surface prior to release of any gadget from a global giant, in case of Galaxy Note 5 Edge, most of the conjecture has been focused on the screen.

Grapevine has it that this device would be the first of its kind to feature a 4K resolution and hence is expected to set standards for models of other companies set to be released later during the year or next year.

Having played the role of pioneer in the field, Samsung wanted to be the first to introduce the concept of 4K resolution in smartphones and tablets and has also managed to quell doubts as regards its suitability in the new device. What remains to be seen is whether it is able to support this high resolution with sufficient battery so as to ensure smooth functioning.
There is also a rumor that in addition to 4K resolution, the screen of Note5 Edge will feature two bends on the right and left respectively wherein the right would feature the apps and the left would display notifications. Of course there would be a screen in the middle as usual which would be dedicated to multi-tasking that is typical of such gadgets.

Given Samsung’s past record of launching new gadgets in September, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Edge is also likely to be released during the third quarter of 2015. The first model in this series was launched in September, 2014, and in keeping with the trend, this model is expected to be launched in September 2015 at the IFA expo which is scheduled to be held at Berlin, Germany. Rumor also pertained to the date of release of the gadget being advanced to July, 2015, from September as has been Samsung’s hallmark but this was soon quashed by the company and enthusiasts can look forward to catching the first glimpse in September, 2015.

With all the hype surrounding the Galaxy Note 5 Edge, it is likely to be poised at the upper end of the price spectrum, its cost ranging between GBP 650 and 680. However, if Samsung opts to build the outer body of glass/metal and equips the phone with a screen that is bigger and curved, then the price is likely to shoot upward by GBP 160, thus fixing the final price at GBP 800. Overall, a lot depends on the material which is finally employed by the company in making of the phone and this will have the final bearing on the price.
