The D3100 was my first DSLR camera and I gotta say the picture quality is awesome, with quality low light performance even sans flash. Since getting the camera I have learnt a lot about the ins and out of photography and SLRs but I still have a long way to go. I like the liveview mode and I look for continuous shooting capacity in cameras in this range. The dimensions are on the small size but it feels tough. If you can get a good deal, worth the money.
We have had a lot of camera’s but the D3100 was still the best. The picture quality is really very very good. I love the settings you can choose for the surroundings as well. In South Africa we get invites from Nikon to do free training and they actually teach you how to use the camera to it’s full potential. Worth the money you pay for it!
