You have given us your opinion on Cosmos and Globus.

This is how the two touring companies match up against each other.

Globus is an escorted tour and travel company owned by Group Voyagers, Inc. that operates in almost 70 countries around the world. In addition to guided tours, Globus also provides many river cruises and independent travel packages. It is highly regarded in the industry for its customized itineraries, extensive selection of holiday destinations, and range of independent travel packages. However, Globus is not recommended for travelers on a tight budget. As it should be apparent from the website’s tagline “First Class Touring”, it is more expensive than many of its more value oriented contemporaries.

Cosmos is another international tour operator also owned by Group Voyagers that primarily operates in Europe although it has recently expanded to include destinations in North America, the Middle-East, South Asia, and North Africa. Although it is owned by the same parent company as Globus, Cosmos is for travelers looking for “affordable touring” as stated on its website. In fact, Cosmos holidays start as low as $77 a day making them very attractive for students and other price sensitive customers.

Which bus tour is better, Globus or Cosmos?

Having done Globus and Cosmos in Europe this year, I definitely recommend Globus. They are similar in many ways BUT with Cosmos, the accommodation is worse, further away from centres and a lot of the activities are not included. The groups are usually also bigger in my experience (appreciate that may not be the overall impression from others). Cosmos is cheaper but unless you are ready to skip the optionals and really do your own thing, stick with Globus. Had a great time.

We did a Cosmos tour of Europe in 2015 and had a great time. Our guide was fantastic. This was our first “Guided” trip and found that we got to do/see SO MUCH more than what was listed in the brochure itinery. Cosmos is less expensive due to hotels being further away from city centers, but they are ALWAYS near public transport. It was a great trip. In 2016 my family used Monograms (independent travel) for a London stay. I highly recommend them as well (Monograms is under the same parent company umbrella). We have just booked a Globus tour of Switzerland for 2017 and are very much looking forward to that as well. I have no doubt it will be as awesome as the other 2 trips.
